We were more than halfway through the Langkawi Mangrove Tour but strangely, i don't recall seeing any monkey despite the beautiful limestone cliffs and vast greenery!
Shortly after i was wondering ,Alif, our guide cum skipper for our private tour, spotted a troop of monkeys and immediately navigated towards the mangrove trees along the river.
That's how close we got to the primates and i think it's because it's all adult men on the boat. Should there be any kids or ladies, i think Alif might be a bit hesitant to bring us so near!
So close until a monkey jumped aboard our boat! If Jovyn were around, there would likely be mayhem and i wouldn't be surprised if she accidentally jumped off from the boat into the river. All's fine by the way as Alif was experienced enough to know what to do in such scenario.
Last picture - i think he / she is the patriarch / matriarch for the family. Compared to the monkeys at pulau beras basah, the ones here were less aggressive and were in fact as curious about us as we were of them .
