Even though i stayed for only one night at Bintan earlier this month, i managed to patronise D'Bintan Spa twice; main reason being it started raining heavily and we knew all outdoor activities would be disallowed.
With nothing much to do except to laze in the hotel room (which i could have done at the comfort of my humble abode), we contacted the spa and they readily agreed to pick us up from Angsana Bintan at no additional charge for an hour-long foot reflexology for two persons!
There's a friend who decided to join us even though he didn't want to sign up for any massage and the chauffeur agreed since there's sufficient space within the car anyway! Thumbs-up for the service.
The foot reflexology area; we were the only customers and i am wondering if business would really be that bad since it's the weekend. Nevertheless, we did notice a rather thin crowd even at the local market.
Aside from massages, other treatments include facials, hair cares! I shall share the pricing at the end of the post but you may wish to contact the spa directly for updated price list; contacts to be shared at the end of the post too.
Time to start the massage - it was a relaxing session for my feet although what i really needed then was a back massage! Haha. The fault was on me for not asking for that instead.
We were back the next day and this time, we opted for the traditional massage and were brought to another shopfront two doors away that's also under D'Bintan Spa!
Area with drawn curtains where you would be given some privacy since there's a need to strip down to your panties / underwear! Honestly, i prefer the massage parlours in Thailand as they would give a change in clothing for the massages.
Session was comfortable and was definitely better than the excruciating painful one i had at KSL Mall (JB, Malaysia) last week. However, if given the choice, i would still opt for Bangkok massages.
For this particular shophouse with the massage beds, there's also a retail shop for those who need to get some souvenirs for friends / family back home!
Packets of kerepok (crackers) could be purchased here too but i am not that keen in snacking nowadays. It's more the pack of ginger drink that i am extremely interested in; it's the same one served to us after the massage and i totally enjoyed it.
